Something stops me every time I try to write the final post. I guess I just don't want to conclude this trip! So I am not going to write the last blog post until I am good and ready...
In the meantime, I have a couple of cool tidbits... First, the pictures from the Vatican. I banged around their web site a little bit, and lo and behold, they have images from every Papal audience. And I managed to locate two from high above, which are high resolution, and contain very clear images showing me and David sitting right in the audience, in the 10th row of the general seating! There is one area of diplomatic seating in front of the general area, which is 10 rows, also. So, in a literal manner, we got our picture made with the Pope. I have cropped it down. You can make us out on the 10th row back in the general seating, the 6th and 7th people from the rightmost on that row. We are both in blue shirts, David's a little darker than mine. Cool! I am going to browse the web site for better shots when the Pope was moving just by us, now that I can identify people in the audience around us definitively, maybe I can find a better shot! The Vatican charges a nominal fee, but will provide the images in high resolution upon request!
